Spot Hunter

About:

For my senior thesis at Boston University, I chopped up a bright yellow Kawasaki Ninja 250 and created Spot Hunter; a little motorcycle heavily influence by skateboarding and punk cultures. Due to the diminutive engine size, weight loss was a priority, so the original fairings were removed along with the stock fenders, bulky airbox, and a portion of the subframe. The 250cc engine now breathes through a K&N pod filter and roars out of a low-slung, shortened exhaust. Bulky, 80’s styled lighting has been replaced with LEDs throughout and the instrumentation has been dialed back to a single digital display. Lowered controls and a shortened single seat create more aggressive ergonomics and help to tidy up the lines of the bike. Spot Hunter is by no means a show bike, it’s rough around the edges and full of attitude. Like a good skateboard, it was built to be thrashed.
